Goals: Signaling role of adhesion receptors and the role played by the spatial-temporal regulation of integrin function in establishing and maintaining cell polarity during directional migration of leukocytes.
Achievements: Integrins as signal transducing units affecting the onset of genetic programs. Role of selected regions in integrin cytoplasmic domains in the control of the receptor’s endo-exocytic cyle and in ligand-supported migration.
